• It is highly recommended that students take Professional Development (PSY6930) and a course in either developmental psychobiology or developmental cognitive neuroscience. Another option is to take the neuroanatomy or neurophysiology course ("phase A" for medical students) or the corresponding course offered by the veterinary school.
• Consider taking at least 2 statistics courses beyond the department requirements. These advanced courses are typically offered in the Colleges of Education or Health Professions.
• Students may want to become familiar with computer programming for experimental research.
