Information for New Students

Welcome to the Psychology Department at the University of Florida! At a recent meeting of the incoming student welcoming committee, we discussed ways we could ease future students’ transitions to Gainesville and into the Department. When we first started grad school, it was fairly common for someone important to tell you that you hadn’t paid your fees and that you now had a late fee as a result, which left me feeling flustered and frustrated, wondering, "What fees and why the heck wasn't I told about them?!"

In an effort to prevent unnecessary sources of stress like this one, I have compiled a "handbook" of transitional information that you need to know. I hope you find this information helpful as you began your graduate studies!
