Psychology Clubs and Associations

The undergraduate Psychology Club offers students a chance to participate in various academic, service, and social activities in psychology. Any student interested in psychology and the Psychology Department may join. In past years members have participated in various projects, including surveys of faculty research activities and undergraduate research opportunities, faculty-student colloquia, peer advisement, interaction with other chapters in Florida, and social events.

The Psychology Club is affiliated with the National Honor Society in Psychology, Psi Chi. The current qualifications require that a student be in the top 15% of his or her class as determined by the Registrar, and have eight or more hours of psychology. Last year, more than half of the club members were able to join Psi Chi. Activities of the National Psi Chi include a quarterly newsletter, sponsoring of student research projects and papers, and presentation of programs at regional and national conventions.

For details about Psi Chi and the Psychology Club contact the club president through PSY 114, or check the main lobby display case.
