Correspondence Courses

Majors should make every effort to receive their training from the excellent faculty at the university. However, it is sometimes useful to register for correspondence courses through the University of Florida's Division of Continuing Education 392-1711. Of particular interest is the correspondence course in Industrial/Organization Psychology INP4004, since an equivalent course is not available through the psychology department. It is important to be aware that courses offered through the department of psychology (e.g., DEP3053, PPE3004) cannot be taken for credit in the psychology major. Correspondence credit hours are added to the student's transcript only after completion of such courses and will count toward UF residence credits. Correspondence courses taken other than through the Division of Continuing Education will be considered transfer credits and are subject to the rules outlined for transfer students. Such courses cannot be counted toward resident credits.
