Information for Transfer Students

Approximately 40% of students graduating with bachelor's degrees in psychology from the University of Florida transferred here from either a community college or another four-year university. Admitted transfer students must attend a transfer orientation, consisting of a talk on the requirements of the psychology major given by the undergraduate coordinator. This orientation acquaints students with their audits and credits, transferred courses that will count toward the major, and the requirements that remain to be met.

Visit the advising website (http://www.psych.ufl.edu/~undergrad) for more detailed information regarding the psychology major and course requirements for transfer students. Transfer students are also encouraged to see a psychology department advisor (Room 135 in the Psychology Building) either before transferring or very soon after arriving.
