Community Service in Psychology is intended to provided undergraduate students with an opportunity to volunteer at a location in the community and obtain course credits for this work. All work for credit must be voluntary and unpaid. Community Service in Psychology is run through psychology advising office, PSY135.
The course number is PSY 4949, and the prerequisite is 12 credit hours of psychology.
All individual work classes are pass/fail and will not affect GPA.
A maximum of 4 credit hours of Community Service in Psychology will count towards psychology major.
Students can take 1, 2, or 3 credit hours per semester.
1 credit hour = 45 hours of work during the semester.
