About

The Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience program incorporates a diverse group of faculty, post-doctoral scientists, and students (undergraduate and graduate) who share a focus on investigating the brain and related biological systems that underlie the organization and expression of behavior. Students in the program experience a multidisciplinary training in behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, and learn to use practical techniques ranging from biochemical and genetic manipulations to brain imaging. Faculty and their students are currently conducting experiments using human and non-human subjects to investigate the neurobiological basis of language, attention, emotion, neurodevelopmental disorders and related behavioral pathology, motivation and ingestive behavior, auditory olfactory and visual senses, and development of motor systems
