The Psychology Department of the University of Florida offers a Ph.D. degree with a specialization in Cognitive and Sensory Processes. This area of experimental psychology is directly concerned with human perceptual and cognitive skills as well as the processes and structures responsible for those skills. Our faculty offer expertise in language processing, memory, visual perception, attention, emotion, and cognitive aging. Our program takes a multidisciplinary approach to cognition; we encourage students to collaborate in research and to broaden their knowledge via courses and colloquiums in multiple departments, such as linguistics, communication sciences and disorders, computer science, clinical and health psychology, and educational psychology.
