Developmental Psychology

Development Across the Lifespan

Feedback

Students are given general performance feedback from their TA or RA supervisor each semester. Further, the developmental faculty will review all students’ academic activities at the end of the spring semester each year. This evaluation includes assessment of the students' research progress (e.g., completing master's thesis or other projects, continued involvement in research, the development of an independent program of research, conference presentations, publications, etc.); (2) class performance (e.g., grades, class participation, completion of required coursework), and (3) teaching performance (e.g., TA work, guest lectures, and teaching). After this review, the Area Director and the student's faculty advisor will complete a written comprehensive evaluation to provide constructive feedback to each student regarding their progress.
