Developmental Psychology
Development Across the Lifespan
Human Development is a lifelong, dynamic process. The Developmental Psychology Program provides instruction in the content, theory, and research methods of developmental psychology across the lifespan. As reflected in the faculty's research description, the program's research focus is in two broad areas: cognitive and language development, and social/emotional development. Although most of our research addresses normative development, this knowledge is relevant to programs or agencies concerned with both normal development and problems among infants, children, adolescents, and the elderly.
