The PGSO consults regularly with the Graduate Coordinator in relation to department policy and planning. To enhance the graduate experience and to support skill-building in undergraduate students, the PGSO sponsors or cosponsors the following events: book fairs, undergraduate poster sessions, career fairs, invited speakers, and a suggestion box for graduate students. Undergraduate Research Forum Date Set and Registration Open
The Psychology Graduate Student Organization is excited to again host the annual Undergraduate Research Forum in Spring of 2017. The goal of the forum is to provide undergraduate students an opportunity to present research in a poster format. The poster session is designed to reflect a typical conference atmosphere where students gain presentation experience. If you are currently working on a Psychology related research project you can submit a poster at the following website: https://ufl.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_cCQ9Yjv0X6UTmq9. To submit, you will need your poster title, authors on the poster, and a brief abstract (no more than 200 words). when you register. Detail: The Psychology Graduate Student Organization sponsored the first of three professional development events for psychology graduate students on Thursday (October 20th). Dr. Mark Lewis discussed grants that psychology graduate students should be aware of whether they are in their first or fourth year.

PGSO meets with Undergraduate Psychology Club
Representative members from all areas of the Psychology Department will meet with the Psychology Club to discuss various aspects of grad student life: How to apply, how to choose a program, expectations of a graduate student, etc. The event will take place in McCarty C on March 12 from 6-7 PM.
