About Khanh N. Nghiem
Khanh N. Nghiem received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Oklahoma State University. She is currently a graduate student in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Florida and she recently completed her Master of Science degree in Psychology.
Khanh is interested in cross-cultural research in three distinct areas: (1) memory--encoding and retrieval strategies, particularly for contextual dependent memory (e.g. environmental context, cultural context), (2) social cognition--culture informing cognitive frameworks on how information is represented and stored, and (3) multicultural counseling and diversity issues. Her current research involves reducing health disparities for ethnic and minority populations. Khanh is a director for public relations and national data collection on the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant-funded project: "Patient-Centered Culturally Sensitive Health Care and Health Promotion Project."
