Blake Allan
Blake is a second-year graduate student in the Counseling Psychology program. He received his B.A. in psychology from the University of Western Ontario and continued his education at the University of British Columbia for several years. His research focuses on positive psychology and well-being in career counseling. For fun, Blake likes mixed martial arts, reading, watching movies and television, and playing guitar.
Danielle Davis
Danielle is a first-year graduate student, working with Dr. Lise Abrams in the Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience program and the Cognition and Aging Laboratory. She received her B.A. in psychology from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. Her current research interests include investigating the effects of proper names on lexical retrieval. She enjoys going to the dog park with her dog, watching St. Louis Blues Hockey, and reading books by David Sedaris.
Amanda Gesselman
Amanda is a third-year graduate student in the Social Psychology program, working with Dr. Gregory Webster. She received her B.S. in psychology from Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. Her current research focuses on romantic relationships and life planning in young adulthood, from an evolutionary perspective. When she has free time, Amanda also enjoys going to concerts and traveling.
Lise Abrams
Dr. Abrams is the undergraduate coordinator of the Department of Psychology and is an associate professor in the Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience area. Her research focuses on memory and language processes in young and older adults, specifically the processes involved in retrieving words and the changes in these processes that occur with normal aging. Dr. Abrams is an avid fan of women's gymnastics, tennis, and Chick-fil-A sandwiches.
